As a creative, I consider generative AI to be a net loss to the world.

Not only are they a vast waste of power and natural resources - in a century where our continued existence relies on us reducing our consumption of such things - such statistics-driven systems fundamentally cannot produce anything new. They are nothing more than the theft of the commons, chewed up and fed back to us as content.

I do not use generative AI in any of my work, and will take great care not to host any LLM-created content on my site. (If I do accidentally use such work as accompanying images, please let me know and I will rectify that with all haste.)

None of the work hosted on this site may be used for any purpose related to generative AI or machine learning. The site’s robots.txt file is set to block all currently-known scrapers. If you want to set the world on fire, you can do it off your own creativity!
